Thanks to all of you for watching our television fishing shows and for purchasing our fishing DVD’s. Our Texas educational, shallow water, saltwater fishing shows have been very well received………..Thanks !
We have been shooting video for the last 3 years and it has been an awesome experience. We aired 26 fishing shows on television in 2008 and we produced six (6) retail DVD’s. We are ready for the 2009 season. Fox Southwest was our Television Network in 2008 and or plans are to move to other networks and offer Internet-TV on this website in the next few weeks.
Let me tell you how we got started and where we are going from here.
The Start—
At a ripe age of 5 years old, I caught my first Speckled Trout. It was in Rockport Texas and my grandfather and I would wade fish out in a single file fashion so he could clear the way of any pesky sting-rays. We would use live shrimp under a cork and load up the stringer.
Later in life, about age 25, my brother Brad took me fishing in the Victoria Barge Canal and we would catch nice sized 24 in Red Fish on CocoHo soft plastic minnows. We would drift along the shore and case up to the water-line and pull our plastics in to the deeper water and get hooked up. Little did I know, I was fishing structure.
I got my first bay boat about 5 years later and the rest is history. I averaged about 20 saltwater fishing trips each year for the next few years. I really never thought that I would have a fishing show, as usual, it just happened.
Tony DeHoyos (Tony D), was my service advisor for an SUV that I had to pull my boat. He kept a close eye on my vehicle and kept me on the road. We kept talking about going fishing together but timing was always off. On the first trip, he and I went to Port Aransas (Port A) and fished East Flats. He pulled out a home video camera and we shot video of each other catching Red’s with mud minnows. I was always the class clown and when he aimed the camera at me it was on……………I said…..
”Were fishing a grass-line, a fish-highway…these Red’s are on fire…..let me show you what I mean….(I made a cast)…sweet, I am right in the right place for the bite…..check this out….wait….wait…..there he is….baam….I’m hooked up…..o yea this is a good fish….these reds cruse along the grass-line on the sandy side and ambush their prey….”
Well, you get the idea, I was right at home. Tony left the video playing accidentally playing in the break room at work and someone came to him and said that they had seen me on TV on a fishing show. He called me and told me that and we laughed for a minute and then got quite. We asked each other, do you think we could make a fishing show.
Three weeks later, we had our first sponsor, Bjorns Audio and Video in San Antonio, Bjorn got us our first 3 chip SONY camera and we were on our way.
We now have over 40 sponsors and have developed a rock solid show concept and look and feel. Tony D is our Lead Videographer today. Thanks Tony !!!
Our plan was to make anglers more tactical and strategic in their fishing. We showcase techniques and products to empower anglers on the water. We conduct personal appearances (fishing seminars), offer TV shows and have DVD’s for sale and will be offering Internet-TV shows weekly starting in the next few weeks.
We have accomplished allot and we have assimilated a rock solid team.

Next Level--
We are adding Hunting to the offering thanks to LG Outfitters. To date, we have an awesome Duck Hunt, a White Tail Deer Hunt, a Neel Gui Hunt and with more hunts scheduled for this year. LeeRoy Gonzales is the guide and he has an sweet offering in South Texas.
Thanks to companies such as “Iced Down Adventures”, we have 3 amazing Off-Shore fishing trips shot and they will air in the 2009 season. Those guys are outrageous.
In our current Library, we are predominantly fishing in Texas, our plans are to go to Costa Rica, Louisiana and Mexico in the next three months for added diversity.
We are very happy with our current success but would like to move our shows to include a National television offering. The end result would be; Cable TV, Satellite TV, Internet TV, National TV and of course DVD’s.
We currently conduct approximately 10 personal appearances each year. Our goal is to increase this and include half day fishing clinics where we gather 50 or so anglers and cover every thing from the importance of moving water to how to read a solunar table.
Thanks for your support and as always…………..I’ll see you on the water..
